Located in Fox, just 10 miles outside of Fairbanks, The Turtle Club specializes in Prime Rib, Seafood, Fine Wine, and Friendly Service, all within a rustic Alaskan atmosphere. It's worth a trip to Fairbanks for the enjoyable dining experience.
Upon arriving at The Turtle Club, you will generally be greeted by the gracious owner, Greta Lindley. Since the restaurant has been around for more than a few years, the original log building has been expanded to accommodate three dining sections, bar, and lounge.
All dinners include salad bar - "a feast of freshness," baked potato or rice pilaf, and a delicious loaf of homemade bread. You may choose to start your meal with one of these delicious appetizers: Shrimp Cocktail, Escargot in butter and wine, Mushrooms in Wine Sauce, or another of our tasty options. The Turtle Club is known particularly for their Prime Rib dinners. You have your choice of the Foxy Cut, 10 to 12 ounces for those with lighter appetites; the Turtle Cut, 14 to 16 ounces is a choice medium cut; and the Miner's Cut, a hefty 20 to 24 ounces. Any of the above cuts are sure to satisfy most anyone.
Seafood is also a specialty at the Turtle Club. A 16-20 oz. Australian Lobster Tail, Alaskan 'King' Crab Legs, Halibut Chunks, and Prawns round out this scrumptious menu. Combo's of either Lobster Tail or Alaska Crab Legs served with Prime Rib area also available. We have guests who have tried everything on the menu and there isn't one thing they don't rave about. We think you'll agree.
The Turtle Club features cocktails, beer (including non-alcoholic), wine by the glass or bottle, and Sparkling Wines for that special occasion. They proudly pour Alice White Cabernets, Zinfandels, and Chardonnay as their house wines. There are plenty of choices available to compliment any meal.
It is hard to believe that anyone could have room for dessert after such a feast, but there are a variety to choose from, including homemade cheese cake. Your server will do her best to tempt you - take the recommendation and enjoy!
